Russia Economy w. Vladimir Miklashevsky

Vladimir Miklashevsky (MSc. Econ., M. Phil.) currently works as senior economist and trading desk strategist for Danske Bank in Helsinki. He is responsible for the entire bank’s emerging markets research and trading strategy in Russian ruble and a number of major currencies around the world.

In 2013 and 2014 Bloomberg has ranked Vladimir as the top Russian ruble forecaster among more than 15 global investment banks and research institutions.

Vladimir was previously employed by a consultant East Office of Finnish Industries Ltd., which is
owned by 22 large Finnish corporations with EUR9bn of investments in Russia. Before that Vladimir worked as an economist in the Bank of Finland's department of monetary policy and research. His main areas of interest include the oil price impact on stock markets in emerging and developed economies, central banks' monetary policies, economic reforms and geopolitics.

Vladimir is chairman of the board of the Finnish-Russian Trade Association, established by Finnish businesses in Helsinki in 1992.
