We have invited Ms Mathilde Kimer, Correspondent for Russia, DR Danish Radio, to a digital meeting.
Mathilde will give her impressions from working with Russia and taking a big interest in the country for many years. Mathilde would share her observations and views on:
* The transition of Vladimir Putin. From an introvert, slightly aggressive unknown persona transitioning into a self-promoting man of the world to the father figure and perhaps lifelong president.
* Russia’s perception of the world and of itself – and the mismatch between its own image, and the image of Russia in the West.
* The Russian media scene and the information gorge in the Russian population. Also connected to the protest movements and their development from 2011 to today and the crumbling social contract.
* A discussion on Covid-19, its development and handling in Russia and that Putin has chosen a back seat in the crisis management of this.
Mathilde will initially speak approx. 35-45 minutes, after which she would answer questions.
