DBC web-meeting: Russia's Greater Eurasia Initiative w. Glenn Diesen

  • 22 Oct 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

An interesting web-meeting with Mr. Glenn Diesen, Associate Professor, University of South-Eastern Norway.

Description of the presentation:

For the past three centuries, since Peter the Great, Russia has defined itself in the mirror of the West and its policies have been defined as either pro- or anti-Western. In 2014, Russia's Greater Europe project ended and its Greater Eurasia Initiative was born. Eurasian integration aims to reposition Russia from the dual periphery of Europe and Asia to the centre of a larger Eurasian construct.
