We are happy to let you know, that the Danish rock band The Raveonettes will be giving a concert in Moscow on the 6th of May.

For most Danes the name will be very familiar. The Indie-rock shoegaze group Raveonettes first made their way into the Danish consciousness with the single ”Return of the Ghost Writers”, which was released in 2002. The group has since then produced a number of hits, that are still on heavy rotation on Danish radio, including “Love in a Trashcan” and the melancholic Christmas classic “The Christmas Song”.

The band has, since their discovery by Rolling Stone Magazine in 2002, experienced a massive interest and demand from the US. Both aesthetically and musically they have never denied their great inspiration from iconic American groups like the Velvet Underground and Jesus and the Mary Chain.

However, The Raveonettes is not a paltry reflection of the 50s and 60s American rock pioneers. The songs, which are often based upon strong vocal harmonies, have their own heartfelt coolness and originality.

In September of last year they released their sixth album “Observator”.
